How Does Radio Frequency work for sweating?

RF is approved to treat hyperhidrosis of the underarms, face and scalp. The treatment delivers radiofrequency at a precise depth to target the two types of sweat glands. Apocrine sweat glands are those that produce odor, while eccrine glands produce water.

Heat from the RF device targets and destroys both types of sweat glands without damaging nearby tissue. Once destroyed, sweat glands will not regenerate.
